Cookies and bread baking in general from seemingly mysterious origins have a science to them. Like a mad scientist on a quest for the truth, I tend to seek bakery perfection.
Cake Mix Cookies

Makes 18 large cookies or 24 medium cookies.
- 1 Box of white cake mix
- 2 sticks of butter soft
- 2 eggs beaten lightly
- 1 bag chocolate chips
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of molasses
Directions
- Combine in order given and chill 30 minutes in fridge.
- Scoop onto cookie sheet greased or parchment paper.
- Bake in preheated oven at 360°F for 10 minutes.
- Cool 2 minutes then move to cooling racks.
