5 cups rolled oats
½ cup or 1 small pkg. sliced almonds (or a mix)
½ cup coconut
1 cup raisins
1 cup dried berries or other chopped dried fruit
1 cup honey or maple syrup
½ cup canola oil
Step 1– in a large bowl mix oats, puffed wheat, nuts, and sunflower kernels until well combined.
Step 3- spread mixture evenly in foil lined roaster, dry in 325 degree F. oven 20-40 minutes stirring every 10 minutes until golden brown.
Step 4- cool completely stir in fruit, store in air tight container.
Serving Suggestion– top ½ cup low-fat/ nonfat yogurt with ½ cup muesli. Use as a topping for homemade ice cream or frozen yogurt or as a topping for muffins or in whole grain bread recipe’s.
