Why buy it in the small prepackaged envelopes? You can make your own in canister bulk form or in your own paper craft envelopes. Sandwhich bags work well for this as another option. Add your flavorings, nuts, dried fruits, the sky is the limit! Buy good quality ingredients and never look back. Make them with milk or water and cold or hot just like the store brands. Enjoy!
For each little bag, I ended up combining:
1/4 cup quick oats
1 teaspoon milk powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Recently I feel in love with McD’s oatmeal.. I realized how easy it was to make at home .. I stock up on dried cranberries, raisins, dehydrated apples… I add some brown sugar or maple syrup… now THAT is breakfast… for pennies!
